THRIVE™ helps organizations see what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what needs attention next.
Ascentix uses THRIVE™ to look at an organization’s focus, structure, and momentum, so leaders can make better decisions about where to strengthen the business.
Focus + Structure + Momentum = THRIVE™
What is THRIVE™
THRIVE™ is Ascentix’s way of helping leaders step back and see how the organization is really functioning.
When Focus, Structure and Momentum work well together, organizations are more likely to do good work, keep people aligned, better serve their customers, clients, or members, and make a bigger impact.

Focus
Target
Horizon
Are we aiming at the right target?

Structure
Resources
Infrastructure
Do our people, systems, and tools support the vision?

Momentum
Velocity
Execution
Are we moving forward in a steady, consistent, visible way?

Why THRIVE™ Matters
In many organizations, the challenge is not effort
People are working hard, teams care and leaders want to do the right thing. But if priorities are mixed, roles are fuzzy, or the work keeps getting delayed, momentum drops and the business starts feeling heavier than it should.
THRIVE™ helps leaders identify where the organization is getting stuck and what needs to shift so the work can move more smoothly.
THRIVE™
Focus is about direction
We look at the organizations Targets and Horizon. Focus looks at whether the organization knows what it is aiming at, what matters most right now, and how the mission, vision and purpose are understood throughout the organization.
This can include:
-
top priorities
-
mission and purpose
-
short- and long-term goals
-
whether people understand the direction well enough to make good decisions

Structure is about how the organization is set up to do the work
We look at the organizations Resources and Infrastructure. Structure looks at whether the right people, processes, systems, and tools are in place to support the work instead of slowing it down.
This can include:
-
the way teams work together
-
roles and responsibilities
-
communication patterns
-
workflows
-
handoffs
-
programs, systems, and tools

Momentum is about whether the work keeps moving
We look at the organization's Velocity and Execution. Momentum looks at whether initiatives are executed, projects are getting completed, decisions are being made, and progress is visible.
This can include:
-
speed of execution
-
follow-through
-
project movement
-
whether the organization is building forward progress or constantly losing steam

How THRIVE™ Works
THRIVE™ is the lens Ascentix uses to understand the organization
It's important to understand what's really happening beneath the symptoms leaders are seeing in their organization. We look at the six interconnected areas — Targets, Horizon, Resources, Initiatives, Velocity, and Execution — organized around Focus, Structure, and Momentum to bring together leadership perspectives, organizational evidence, and what we observe.
We're looking to understand:
-
where things are working well
-
where is friction or misalignment showing up
-
what may be causing it
-
how significant it is to the organization
-
and what actually deserves attention next
Using THRIVE™, Ascentix helps leaders determine the right next steps — whether that means making an adjustment, redesigning something more fundamental, making a decision, adding resources, monitoring the issue, or intentionally leaving it alone.
The result is greater clarity about what the organization needs before deciding what to do about it.
Why THRIVE™ Works
THRIVE™ is built for the complexity of real organizations
THRIVE™ creates a structured way to look beyond individual symptoms and understand how strategy, priorities, people, systems, decisions, and execution work together.
Along with THRIVE™, Ascentix helps leaders explore questions like:
-
Are we all working toward the same thing?
-
Do we actually know what our top priorities are right now?
-
Are we trying to do too many things at once?
-
Do our systems and structure support the work that matters most?
-
Where are we losing time, energy, or momentum?
-
Which decisions keep getting delayed or revisited?
-
What’s taking leadership attention that shouldn’t be?
-
Where are we relying on individual effort instead of reliable systems?
-
Are we addressing the real problem or reacting to its symptoms?
-
Which issues actually matter enough to address?
-
If we could improve one thing, what would have the greatest impact?
THRIVE™ helps turn those questions into a clearer picture of what is happening across the organization, what may be driving it, and what deserves attention. This gives leaders a stronger foundation for deciding what to do next and, just as importantly, what not to do.
How THRIVE™ Compares
A practical way to see how the organization works together.
There are many well-established models to understand strategy, performance, organizational health, and how organizations operate. THRIVE™ draws on many of the same fundamental business principles while providing a practical way to look across the organization through Focus, Structure, and Momentum.

THRIVE™ FAQs
What is THRIVE™?
THRIVE™ is Ascentix’s framework for looking across an organization through three interconnected areas: Focus, Structure, and Momentum. It provides a practical way to understand how the pieces of the organization are working together and where greater attention may be needed.
Who is THRIVE™ for?
THRIVE™ is designed for CEOs, founders, business owners, executive directors, and leadership teams who want a clearer view of what is happening across the organization and what may need attention next.
Is THRIVE™ just for large companies?
No. THRIVE™ can be applied across organizations of different sizes, structures, and stages. The framework focuses on fundamental organizational questions around direction, alignment, structure, resources, priorities, and the ability to turn those priorities into progress.
How is THRIVE™ different from an organizational health survey?
THRIVE™ looks beyond organizational health alone. It considers how clearly the organization is focused, how well it is structured to support the work, and how effectively priorities become progress. This creates a broader picture of how different parts of the organization may be influencing one another.
Does THRIVE™ produce a score?
THRIVE™ can use scoring to help identify patterns, strengths, and areas that may warrant greater attention. But the score isn't the answer. The greater value comes from understanding what is behind the results and what they may mean for the organization.
Can THRIVE™ be used across the whole organization?
Yes. THRIVE™ can help explore how priorities, direction, roles, systems, and ways of working are understood and experienced at different levels of the organization. Comparing those perspectives can also reveal areas of alignment, disconnect, or friction that may not otherwise be visible.
What happens after using THRIVE™?
That depends on what we learn. THRIVE™ may confirm that things are working well, identify an area worth watching, uncover something that needs greater understanding, or point toward a more significant opportunity for change. From there, leaders can make more informed decisions about what deserves attention and what the right next step should be.

Moving Forward Together
Your organization should be working with you, not against you
If you’re seeing friction, competing priorities, or challenges that are difficult to pinpoint, THRIVE™ can help bring the bigger picture into focus. Start with a conversation about what you’re seeing and what may be worth exploring.
